The Riverside County Department of Waste Resources offers free compost at the following locations:

• Lamb Canyon Landfill,  16411 Lamb Canyon Road, Beaumont, CA 92223, during normal operating hours, Monday through Saturday, from 6:00 am to 4:30 pm.
• Badlands Landfill, 31125 Ironwood Avenue, Moreno Valley, CA 92555, during normal operating hours, Monday through Saturday, from 6:00 am to 4:30 pm.   

Please read the following:  

• All visitors must check in at the Gate Fee Booth/Scale House before entering the landfill. 
• High-visibility safety vests and closed-toe shoes are required while visiting the landfill. 
• Visitors are required to bring their own tools, such as gloves, shovels, bags, and buckets, to collect compost.
• Composted material is on a first-come first-served basis until the supply is exhausted.
